Eco credentials.......
I class myself as an environmentally friendly designer/maker. A few "Eco" things that I do include buying my metal from a company that recycle all of my scrap gold and silver into lovely fresh pieces of sheet and wire, making everything by hand using traditional tools and techniques and cycling to the post office when I need to post off orders.
I'm not just an eco warrior at work though so I thought I'd share a bit of what I've been up to this weekend. I'm (very slowly) renovating my house that has been pretty much untouched since the 1970's. I don't own a car myself but am a member of my local car club so yesterday, I collected the biggest car that was available in order to collect a second hand shelving unit. This is now reassembled and looking fab and saved from going to landfill.
The new unit was replacing two sets of broken chests of drawers, but nothing goes to waste in my house. My heating comes from a log burner, so I now have two rather cool and repurposed log stores, one outside and one inside!
