#artistsupportpledge
** UPDATE - I’ve had a lot of people asking how to measure their ring size, and obviously the best way is to go to a jeweller’s, but we all know that’s not possible at the moment. So, an alternative way is to use a printable ring sizer, of which there’s a couple in this guide to choosing a wedding ring:
End of Update - here’s the original blog…
Hi and sorry for the social media radio silence. The weather has just been so wonderful and my garden needs LOTS of work. In fact it could probably be a full time job in itself, so my enforced studio closure has actually come at the best time it could!
Anyway, I’m still working in between gardening, mostly from home doing admin and website updating being as I can’t buy any metal or get anything hallmarked at the moment!
So, being as I can’t have any visitors to the studio, and don’t have any events until at least October, I though’t I’d try selling a few of my sample rings via #artistsupportpledge
Here’s how it works...
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many artists have found themselves without work. In an attempt to help alleviate some of this stress @matthewburrowsstudio has instigated the ARTIST SUPPORT PLEDGE #artistsupportpledge
The concept is a simple one. I post images of my work that I’m willing to sell for no more than £200 each (not including shipping). When I reach £1000 of sales I pledge to buy another artist's work for £200
Even if you can’t afford to buy jewellery right now, you can still help by liking and sharing my posts, so that lots more people get to see them, and then hopefully, in return, I’ll be able to support another artist by buying something lovely from them.
