Thank you (and an announcement)…
I have a couple of things to talk about in this blog…
First of all, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that visited me, Beca and Sarah during our Open Studio week. The numbers were down a bit on last year, but lots of great conversations about commissions happened and all of us had some sales so still a fab week (and a bit).
The next thing I want to talk about is an exciting change in the way I’m going to be running the whole Anna Mcloughin Fine Jewellery show…
I made the announcement just before the FarOpen Art Trail, that I’ve made the decision to only work with jewellery supplied to me by my clients to be recycled “in-house” at my off-grid Eco Studio. Essentially, this won’t change the way in which I take on my commissions (which probably already make up about 90% of my work load) at all. It’ll mean some big changes to my website though, in that any jewellery for sale in my online shop, will be “made to order” from old jewellery supplied by you!
I’m hoping that this might ease the pressure a bit on my commissions waiting list, as I know so many of you really want me to remodel your jewellery and are patiently waiting for me to open up my list again. This way, if there’s something already in my shop that you like, you’ll just be able to order it online and send me your jewellery to be remodelled without having to go through the longer commissioning process.
This is going to take a bit of time to make all the changes to my website, so please bear with me, but I promise, it’s coming!!
